How to use:
If you are taking eg. capecitabine or 5FU use the fat cream in any case regularly, at least once in the mornings and once in the evening. Bray the cream generously on your hands and feet.
If you recognize the typical symptoms of Hand Foot Syndrome, use the cream several times troughout the day. Users report an initial success latest after three days. Also note the secondary care tips on this page.

Bathe your hands and feet for 10 minutes in cold to lukewarm water. Then rub in our Fat Cream. Perform this activities atleast twice a day.
Explanation:
Todays most common chemotherapeutics are based on the chemical 5-Fluorouracil. 5-Fluorouracil is attacing the bodycells and destroys them. But there won´t only the "bad" but also the "good" cells destroyed.
Hand Foot Syndrome occurs mostly with the oral taken prodrug Xeloda (by Roche). The active ingredient capecitabine is transfered by the bodys metabolism into the 5-Fluorouracil. It is assumed that the active ingredient sweats among others out of the body (the exact principle is not investigated yet). That´s why the active ingredient concentrates on the strong sweating hands palms and the soles of the feet. The "overdose" on those parts of the body is supposed to be the reason for Hand Foot Sydrome. To find out mor about Xeloda (Roche) klick on the links to Roche at the end of this page.
Our oil-based cream contains exactly 10% of the substance uridine and is recommended for skincare having Hand Foot Syndrome. The active ingredient uridine, a nucleoside, can "neutralise" 5-Fluorouracil at the hands and feet and decomposes to urea and a less harmfull fluoride-containing remainder. The cream is rich on oil so hands and feet recieve an additional care.
Cure Tips against Hand Foot Syndrome:
To prevent Hand Foot Syndrome and to take care of hands and feet of exposed patients there are relativ easy ways:
- avoid contact with hot water
- mechanical friction (clapping, jogging...)
- cold daily water baths for hands and feet
- use of the Noggi Cosmetics fat cream
What is Hand Foot Syndrome:
Hand Foot Syndrome (HFS) is an acral erythema develloping swelling and numbness on hands and feet. Mostly Hand Foot Syndrome devellops in coherence with a treatment of capecitabine. Also patients with the intravenous administer of 5-Fluorouracil as well as Doxorubicine can devellop the Syndrome. Beeing on capecitabine medication between 45 and 56 % of all treated patients get Hand Foot Syndrome.
The syndrome shows strong reddening, numbness, prickeling and swelling of the palms and soles. The affictions can increase to such a painful grad that chemotherapy with capecitabine needs to be paused. This dose-limiting factor could be delayed by using our rich oil-based cream.
The syndrome has three stages:
- grade 1: painless erythema, dysaesthesia / paraesthesia, without interference of daily life
- grade 2: painfull erythema with swellings, interference of daily life
- grade 3: wet scaling of skin, deep hole-shaped skin ulceration, blisters, heavy pain, extreme interference of daily life
